Chorister Ensemble!

Our Lady of Fatima children grades 1-4 enjoy music and make the commitment to meet together from 4:00-5:00 most weeks during the school year to share their faith, fellowship and develop their musical skills. Second graders preparing to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion are especially encouraged as part of their sacramental preparations.

A great deal of rehearsal time is spent developing knowledge of the Liturgy of the Mass.  We also reflect on the Scripture Readings of the previous week and preview the Scripture Readings of the coming Sunday. Learning together children are encouraged to listen deeply with a profound respect for each other.  When we put the edge of our thinking and experiences together with one another, learning becomes a shared adventure.

Choristers are encouraged to challenge themselves to prepare and contribute to the celebration of the Mass on Sunday mornings. Children are trained to take on more musical leadership responsibility as part of the middle school Schola Cantorum which can eventually lead to a place in the Lightstream Teen band.

The Choristers participate at the 9:30 Mass once a month, usually on the first Sunday of the month throughout the school year. In addition to participation at Sunday morning liturgies the choristers participate at Feast Day liturgies throughout the year!
