Our Lady of Fatima Legacy Society

We are so blessed to be part of a vibrant and growing community of faith at Our Lady of Fatima. Much of what has been accomplished over the years has been due to the continued generosity of our parishioners in time, talent and treasure. As we strive each day to promote living life in the spirit of Christ, I am reminded of the necessity to enhance the long-term viability of our parish community so that Our Lady of Fatima will be a source of faith, hope and love for generations to come.

In recent months our Finance Council has discussed establishing ways to enable our parishioners who so wish to provide for the long-term future of Our Lady of Fatima. To this end, I have enthusiastically accepted a recommendation from the council that we establish the Our Lady of Fatima Legacy Society.

The mission of the Our Lady of Fatima Legacy Society is to promote, recognize and support those parishioners who would like to support the long-term goals of the community by including Our Lady of Fatima in their estate plans through a planned gift. “Planned giving” is a well-recognized method of transferring valuable gifts in the future on a reliable and tax efficient basis. Planned gifts most commonly include bequests, charitable gift annuities, life insurance policies, or transfers from IRA’s.

If you are in the process of creating a will or estate plan or updating it, I ask that you prayerfully consider including Our Lady of Fatima as a beneficiary.  Should you have any questions about the benefits of planned giving, we have materials available for you in our parish office. If you have already named Our Lady of Fatima in your will or are considering a planned gift, please call the Parish Office at 978.443.2647  This will help us plan for the future of our parish and to allocate our current resources.

On behalf of the entire parish community, present and future, we thank you for your thoughtful and continued support.  I am honored to serve Christ with you and for you.
